ISME offer
THE INTERNATIONAL School of Management Excellence (ISME) kicks off its journey in management education from this academic year in the heart of the Information Technology belt of Bangalore.
What is new about ISME? While the Institute offers a fulltime Post-Graduate Programme in Management (with dual specialisation: marketing and strategy) and an Executive Post-Graduate Programme in Management (EPGPM), what is new is its "simulated management game" developed at Tepper School of Management, Carnegie Mellon University.
As part of the fulltime programme, students will experience all aspects of running a multi-national company, work in a management team, develop strategic, marketing and operation plans and report to the board of directors. This, according to Nitin Garg, ISME Director, is going to be the key and it will address the needs of students who want to run organisations, both at the middle and top management levels. The simulated programme which runs for six months will give the students an edge in understanding the running of an MNC. On completion of the programme the students will receive a "certificate of achievement" by faculty at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
The executive programme would be over the weekends and intended to develop managerial skills to advance to senior management positions.
The course is designed to accommodate working schedules: four mini semesters in one year and it will also include a management game.
ISME, founded by NVT Quality Education Trust, has also set up a Centre for Quality Excellence, specialising in high-end management consulting and training.
