NALSAR admissions
S.SANDEEP KUMAR
Do you know every aspect of human life is pervaded by patented inventions beginning from electric lighting (patents held by Edison and Swan), plastic (patents held by Baekeland), ballpoint pens (patents held by Biro) to Microprocessors (held by Intel)?
The importance that companies attach to patents can be judged from the fact that 65 per cent of the total revenues of most of the multi national companies are generated from patent royalties than manufacturing.
Keeping in tune with the emerging trends and different legal practices adopted by companies, the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law, Hyderabad is conducting various courses pertaining to legal practices.
The University is inviting applications for admissions into postgraduate diploma courses for the current year 2007-08 in Patents Law, Cyber Laws, Media Laws and International Humanitarian Laws.
Admissions commenced on February 15 and continue till April 15.
Candidates intending to enrol for admission can download application forms from website www.nalsarpro.org or can obtain the same through a demand draft for Rs.300 favouring Registrar, NALSAR Proximate Education payable at Hyderabad.
There is an urgent need for capacity building in Intellectual property human resources to meet the challenges of TRIPS.
