ICFAI Business School (IBS) has placed all its 2,700 MBA students in its 14 centres across the country achieving the rare 100 per cent placement record.
"In fact, they will pass out in April this year but everyone is placed with the average salary being Rs. 5.5 lakhs per annum," R. Raghunath Reddy, Joint Registrar, ICFAI said at the IBS admission process being held in the city from February 4 to 18.
The demand is so much that the school has decided to start its centres in Goa, Lucknow, Mangalore and Noida from this year.
Mr. Reddy said over 18,000 students out of the 30,000 who appeared for the entrance test in December last are attending the interviews.
Only 4,500 students would be selected for the 18 centres based on their entrance score and the performance at the presentation and interview being held now. All seats are open to competition and based on merit.
He said the Hyderabad centre is the top choice for students followed by Mumbai.
The unique process of admission includes a presentation on the MBA course to the students and parents that gives them a holistic view of the course.
Aspirants, a sizeable of them from North and North Eastern states, thronged the venue along with the parents.
The budding managers felt the placement record and the alumni's track record with the industry has made ICFAI a hot destination.
Admitted students were sanctioned loans on the spot by the bankers who set up counters at the venue.
The IBS this year has also started a one-year Executive PG Programme for executive with more than three years of work experience.
The programme is offered only at Hyderabad centre.
