Pre-placement training for engineering students
Come June, the campus recruitment heat is on in the engineering colleges.
Though the number of eligible students for campus tests has been on an upward spiral, the success rate in the job corridors continues to be abysmal — around 15 to 18 per cent, according to recent statistics.
The reason, in most instances, is lack of soft skills and aptitude skills in students seeking placements. Chennai-based Productivity Reach, an organisation offering pre-placement training for students of several leading engineering colleges has come up with a special programme to arrest such aptitude test failures.
Says Ramesh Narayanan, chief executive officer, Productivity Reach, “English verbal, critical, logical and analytical reasoning have assumed the pivotal role in the assessment tests. For example, some of the latest assessment questions of Infosys focuses on the student’s ability not on the basis of the end mathematical or non-mathemetical answer but on ticking one of the correct prescribed options through which the problem could be solved.” The programme centres around the latest assessment patterns of all leading software companies in general with thrust on TCS, CTS, Infosys , Wipro and Caritor.
The course materials include an extensive English verbal and language adaptability. Problem-solving with time-saving techniques shall be the key feature of the programme. The programme starts on June 5 at 109, Lakshmanasami Salai, First Floor, K.K. Nagar, Chennai – 600 078. Phone: 044-42698341/9940212276.
