Singapore Airlines to fund students
Singapore Airlines is offering scholarships for a two-year pre-university courses at selected junior colleges in Singapore, leading to the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ’Advanced’ (GCE ’A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate. The Scholarship is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.
Students who perform well in the GCE ‘A’ Level (or equivalent) Examination may apply for the undergraduate scholarships offered by the National University of Singapore or the Nanyang Technological University. Eligibility : Indian nationals in the age group of 16-18 and with an average 85 per cent with English as first language in the Class X State or National examinations are eligible to apply for the programme.
An allowance of S$ 2,400 per annum with hostel accommodation and S$500 settling-in allowance (once only). It also has an economy class air passage to Singapore and back to home country upon completion of course, waiver of school fees and donation to the Education Fund, waiver of GCE ‘A’ Level examination fees (once only) and subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover. Applications would be issued from June 11 to July 15. Selections would be done in September . The test would be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
