The International center of Applied Sciences, a unit of Manipal Education, has announced admissions for academic year 2007-08 for its international engineering degree, which allows the student to study for two years in India and for two years in any of the listed international Universities. Students can transfer their credits to any other University including the Partners Universities. There are 300 seats for taking in the current academic year, a press release said.ICAS s
tudents can avail transfer of credits to Case Western University, Johns Hopkins University, Ohio State University , Purdue University, Texas A & M. University of Michigan- Ann Arbor ,University of California- Berkeley , University of Southern California, University of Wisconsin- Madison, University of Minnesota, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Virginia Tech The objective of the two-year course at the International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS) is to train the students in different branches of engineering of their choice so that they can easily continue their studies in U.S./UK/ Australian Universities with which the ICAS has the Twinning Programmes in Engineering, the release added.
The total duration of the engineering course is four years. The course is compatible with most of the US universities and students can take transfer to any other University.
The academic year is divided into two semesters, each of 16 weeks duration.
