JNTU, Anantapur: A few words of encouragement can change the very way of approach towards of life. The words may be few but the appreciation leading to confidence can never be weighed. More so, when it comes to students who are still i
n teens and tend to take every failure as the end of the world. That little pat from the lecturer and a nod of appreciation for the hard work can make a huge difference as I discovered.
Being in Civil Engineering workshop is mandatory for us. Carpentry, fitting or foundry, a part of the workshop can drain anyone not exposed to such physical hard work. More so for students who never see such practical work in their school or Intermediate days.
I used to dread those Thursdays spending in the lab. It is not just the physical work but despite the hard work the models I made never used to be up to the mark. After those endless and tiring time in the lab, my finished model lacked proper quality. I feared that I would have to face the worst from my professor.
But when he inspected my model, he gave me a second chance to improve myself. His patience just burst the pressure bag I was wearing and I began to enjoy my work. And the final product was just what he had asked for.
