Rs. 65 lakh sports budget for Kakatiya University

The Sports Board of Kakatiya University, which met here on Friday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor V. Gopal Reddy, unanimously approved a budget of Rs. 64.56 lakh for the next academic year. Presenting the report, secretary of the board Prof . G. Venkatrathnam said that 36 teams from Kakatiya University are participating in the inter-university tournaments in 20 events. Members at the meeting felt separate sports quota should be created in admissions and sports should be made part of the curriculum of all courses.
