A peaceful world: Through our collective efforts, we can end violence.

Dept. of English, AU: In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins...not through strength but through persistence. This is what is lacking today among us. Truth and non-violence on which the tree of free dom struggle bore fruits have dried up.

The recent bombings in Hyderabad prove to be enough evidences. They have left the whole country in pain. It is very heartening to see a mother crying over the body of her child which was published on the front page of the newspaper. It appeals to every one who is born "human".

The fierce blast generated by the explosion crushed, burnt and killed every thing in sight and reduced the entire area to a barren field. I am grief-stricken to realise that our world is being herded in the direction of violence.

The killing spree and the blood-thirst of the terrorists have reached epidemic proportions. Is it what you call "holy war" or fight for freedom?

Weapons of mass destruction are being waved around across the country by delusional madmen who can be diagnosed as being terminally ill with "weaponitis".

I urge the culprits to encounter the sight and confirm with their eyes what terrorism holds in store for all of us.

There are vital questions that now challenge us. Will we lift ourselves up to remove the root of this social disorder? Will we able to seek a humanity- centred response from all the quarters of the world? Needless to say the answers do lie with every one but none admits it. This is the prevailing apathy towards humanity.

A cycle of violence will only create more violence, more hatred and more terrorism. Such acts of cowardice must not be allowed to take driver’s seat.

We, the people of the world, have every right to demand a peaceful, secured life. Only our collective efforts can put an end to the inferno.
