Blood donation camp

Marking the 14th ‘Department Day,’ a blood donation camp was organised recently for the Department of Business Administration, Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi. K.J. Sunmista, lecturer, Department of Commerce (self-financed) and an old student of the BBA department, spoke. Prizes were distributed by Head of the Department, M. Jegadeeswari.

The department also organised a one-day district-level orientation programme — Excelsia 07 — for matriculation and higher secondary school students recently. Being conducted for the third year running, this year’s theme was ‘Test your traits.’

Sessions on ‘Openess’, ‘Emotional stability’, ‘Conscientiousness’ and ‘Extroversion and agreeableness’ were handled by professors from various colleges in and around Sivakasi. More than 90 students and 25 staff members representing 25 school in Virudhunagar and Aruppukottai educational districts participated in the programme.
