GLIM annual management fest

Great Lakes Institute of management (GLIM) is organising their annual management fest, L’Attitude on December 14 and 15.

Some of the best minds in the country both from the academic and the corporate institutions will participate in this event.

Day one

On December 14, in the session titled ‘Power Talk’, Shailesh Rao, managing director, Google India; Y.V. Reddy, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, and Dr. Thomas Anderson, associate dean, Stuart School of Business, will talk on ‘Resurgent India’ and share their experience and expertise with the management students and corporate executives. This will be followed by ‘CEO conclave’.

The theme for ‘CEO Conclave’ is ‘Entrepreneurial Managers — Making Managers Entreprenuerial’. This flagship event of the L’Attitude will be a panel discussion featuring some of the best brains in the industry including A. Mahendran, managing director, Godrej Sara Lee Limited; N.K. Ranganath, CEO, Grundfos Pumps Limited; G.R.K. Reddy, managing director, Marg Constructions, and Adhaya Kumar, joint managing director, Shasun Chemicals.

Day two

On December 15, there will be a videoconference with Sam Pitroda, chairperson, Knowledge Commission of India. Narayana Murthy, chairperson and chief mentor, Infosys, will launch the Centre for Excellence in Infrastructure, at GLIM that has been sponsored by Marg Constructions. Mr. Narayana Murthy will talk on ‘Resurgent India’.

Tennis player Mahesh Bhoopathy and his wife Swetha Bhoopathy will also address the gathering.

Apart from this, there will be paper presentations, competitions on HR, Finance, Strategy and Marketing, in which students from top B-Schools from across the country will participate. Quiz master Giri Balasubramanisam will conduct a business quiz titled ‘Athlos’. The winning team will get Rs. 55, 000 as cash prize.

The two-day event will be organised at IMAGE Auditorium, MRC Nagar. The sessions begin by 9.30 a.m.
