Scholarship hike

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is implementing a scheme of Post-Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Castes for studies in India.

Under the scheme there is also provision for providing scholarships for Commercial Pilot Licence Course (CPL).

20 to 50

The number of awards for Commercial Pilot Licence Course was 20 per annum.

Keeping in view the acute shortage of trained pilots in the fast growing aviation sector in the country and demand from the Scheduled Caste applicants for Commercial Pilot Licence Course, the Government of India has decided to enhance the awards from 20 to 50 from the current financial year onwards.
