‘Archumen’ on March 28
The grand finale of ‘Archumen 07-08,’ a four-zone event for architecture students, will be held at The Capitol Hotel in Bangalore on March 28, preceded by the southern interface. Events for “Bending Moment,” hosted by TATA TISCON and Ethos, will be held at Jawahar Bal Bhavan on March 29. All the colleges that offer architecture and civil engineering from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu will battle it out for the top spots in the South.
Ethos has already received registrations from Salem, Hosur, Davangere, Chennai, Vizag, Hyderabad, Kancheepuram, Kilakarai and Calicut, besides Bangalore. The top two teams will get a chance to compete with the best in the country at the finale to be held on the same day. The other teams that have qualified for the finale are Jadavpur University and CET Bhubaneswar. The teams that have qualified from the other regions of “Bending Moment” are College of Engineering, Pune; IIT Delhi; IIT Roorkee; and Jadavpur University.
‘Archumen’ is also being actively supported by the Indian Institute of Architects through its Young Architects Committee. With an intention of bridging the gap between the communities of architects and civil engineers, Ethos launched “Bending Moment,” a national quiz on Civil Engineering, last year.
