BARC for collaboration with educational institutions

SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is willing to work along with educational institutions on multi-disciplinary research areas that would benefit young researchers, students and faculty, P.P. Chandrachoodan, Programme Officer-cum-Scientific Officer, Board of Research in Nuclear Science, BARC, has said.

At the inaugural of a two-day workshop on Recent Trends in Non-Destructive Evaluation of Materials organised by Department of Production Technology at Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet, last week, Dr. Chandrachoodan said that at present, Indian Institute of Technology, University of Madras, Anna University, Loyola College and Sathybhama University were among the institutions working on BARC projects. Dr. Chandrachoodan said his intention was to extend collaborations with as many institutions in and around Chennai as possible.
