The Institute of Hotel Management ( www.ihma.ac.in), Aurangabad, conducts the four-year B.A. (Honours) Degree in Hotel Management and four-year B.A. (Honours) in Culinary Arts, which are jointly conducted by the Maulana Azad Educational Trust and the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces of the Taj Group.

The University of Huddersfield awards the degree for both the courses that are conducted at the Institute.

The programmes have been recognised by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has granted the programme with the equivalence of a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management.

The Institute has a tie-up with the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University for the students to pursue the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme coterminus to the Hotel Management programme.

The candidate should have completed Standard 12th or equivalent examination of any stream/faculty with English as a medium of instruction. The upper age limit has been fixed at 22 years.

Besides graduation the add-on programmes will help you get to your dream job. Many from the IT corporate world are happy to recruit individuals like you and support you in the cause of corporate growth.

via Email Kolar

You could pursue agri-business in the regular mode, for it will help you in your placement as well. Consider the Post-Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM) offered by the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIMA) ( www.iimahd.ernet.in) or the Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) of the Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand. Both offer good placements.

Pursuing M.Tech

I am B-level certified from DOEACC Society, and looking out for work. For furthering my qualification and career I want to pursue M.Tech by Distance/Correspondence course. Which Universities provide opportunities for

this type of education?

Narendra Reddy

B-Level is a Post-Graduate qualification equivalent to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA). Since you are already working in the Information Technology (IT) sector, you can contact your Unit HR for institutional tie-up so that you could pursue the programme of your choice in your organisation itself. Infosys, Wipro, Satyam and other IT and ITES companies have a tie-up with BITS, Pilani, and leading management institutes.

Alternatively you can contact DOEACC ( www.doeacc.edu.in) which is successfully running the quality oriented C-Level programme which is on a par with Master of Technology (M.Tech). Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation ( www.vmrfdu.ac.in) offers the two-year Master of Technology/Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering (Course Code: 952) offered by the Faculty of Distance Education. You can contact the Head of Department and get the full details of the programme.

The Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute offers M.Tech on a part-time basis through the Deccan Institute of Advanced Studies ( www.diasindia.org) and also the M.S. by Research.
