Paper presentation festival
PRESPICACIOUS ’08, a paper presentation festival, was recently held at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT), Sathyamangalam. The event was held for the first-year students of computer science engineering. More than 60 participants presented papers and the winners were honoured on April 22.
Senior scientists Dr. P. Balasubramaniam and Dr. P. A. Azeez, from SACON, Coimbatore, participated in the function.
MoU signed
The Department of Biotechnology, BIT, recently signed an MoU with the Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT), Bangalore. As per the MoU, the institutes will exchange and extend facilities to faculty members for collaborative research and seminars. FRLHT will provide facilities and guidance for in-plant training and project work for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of BIT.
ISO certification
Sree Amman Arts and Science College, Chittode, recently secured an ISO certification, says a release from the college.
A team of officials from ISO institute, Geneva, inspected the college and appreciated the efforts of the management in providing good education. The team also enquired about the role of placement cell and employment opportunities for students.
In recognition of the management’s effort, the ISO certificate was recently given to the College Correspondent T. Jayalaxmi, the release adds.
