In-plant training for engineering students
Hindustan Software Limited (HSL), Chennai, will offer in-plant training for engineering students in the electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, computer science and Information Technology streams. Students studying in any year can take up the course, which is spread across 15 days. The training will be for two hours a day.
It will focus on nanotechnology, knowledge engineering, information security, robotics, medical instrumentation and economic engineering. Besides, industry experts from relevant fields will provide insight and train students.
According to company representatives, it is requisite for every engineering student to undergo in-plant training for 50 hours, as per the norms of Anna University. It will also help the student to be industry ready on completing his / her degree. However, there is a huge lacuna in terms of the number of companies that offer in-plant training. To fill this void, HSL will offer students hands-on experience.
The training will cost Rs. 1,000 inclusive of course material. Upon completion of the course, certificates will be given to students.
