‘Spring Spree’ all set to rock

Geared up: NIT students are bracing up for ‘Spring Spree’ festival to be held from January 23 to 25 in Warangal. –
The students on the National Institute of Technology (NIT) are eagerly waiting for the grand gala ‘Spring Spree’ to be held from January 23 to 25 which will feature popular rock bands. .
Rock bands – Blind Image from Chennai, Evergreen from Cochin, and Mavens Chamber from Hyderabad would be performing during the fest at the NIT campus here while the festival will also have rock competitions ‘Ira’ where seven shortlis
ted bands would be vying for the top prize. Student coordinator Pushyami Atluri said the Spring Spree will have numerous events offering a challenge to every participant turning up for the festival from different institutes across the country. As part of the spotlight events, there will be a ‘Chitr 09’ an art exhibition, free dancing, pencil stroking, photoshop for beginners. “Experts in respective fields will be here to conduct workshops so that students can learn a lot from the masters,” she said. Meanwhile, corporate companies are competing to sponsor the event. Already, Virgin mobiles, TVS Motors, IMS coaching centre, Radio SFM, Alumni Association came forward to sponsor the festival.
Pushyami said they already completed pre-spring spree programmes inside the campus, designed and released their festival special T-shirt.
The students also launched their online games on their spring spree website.
