Selected for exchange programme
Seven students from Park Global School of Business Excellence will visit University of Missouri, St. Louis, (UMSL) and Florida International University (FIU), U.S., as part of a student exchange programme in January 2009.
Himanshu Bhardwaj, R. Sreeni, Ansel Raj, Sudhasree Swain, and Rohini Ramanathan are the students selected for study at UMSL.
The students were selected through GMAT scores and were interviewed by Allan Bird, director, International Business Institute - UMSL & Honorary Dean of Park Global.
Park Global students will continue the second year course with their choice of specialisation at UMSL and will be placed in stipendiary Industry Internship for six months.
During the stay at University of Missouri, the students will be exposed to industrial learning and harmonized curriculum.
These students will obtain two degrees — an MBA from UMSL and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from Park Global.
The students deputed to UMSL will pay fees at the rate charged for U.S. citizens.
This should be seen in the context of the practice of most US universities charging thrice the US students fee for foreign students. UMSL has signed pact with varsities globally and Indian students for their second year will join the students from China, Japan, France, Finland, Austria and Mexico.
Hemendra M.D. and Santhosh Devassy are the two students selected for the dual degree programme at FIU.
