Mobile learning platform

BASE, a premier educational training organisation providing quality training for IIT-JEE, AIEEE, AIPMT, CET and COMEDK, has announced that it will be the strategic content partner for India’s first interactive and fully integrated mobile learning and assessment tool mPlg(tm).

The mobile phone-based testing platform created by Ipomo Communications India Private Limited, Bangalore, delivers and renders question papers of various competitive exams from institutes efficiently. The content provision will start off with IIT-JEE-09 and CET- 09.

“BASE is pleased to be the content partner for a revolutionary learning platform such as mPlg(tm). This partnership will provide students opting for mPlg(tm) the opportunity to benefit from the expertise BASE has in training students to face national-level competitive examinations for nearly two decades,” said H.S. Nagaraja, Director and founder of BASE.

“This cost-efficient learning tool will help students to fine-tune their skills and help them prepare better for competitive exams,” said Vallish N. Herur, Director, BASE.

The testing system allows students to access the question papers from the best institutes at one place along with allowing them to practice or write mock examinations anytime, anywhere.

“Efficient and secured in-built encryption algorithms prevent unauthorised viewing of content. A student can access only his/her registered course/subjects. We have conducted pilot runs in a few colleges and institutes in Bangalore in the past two months. The exercise was conducted to test the feasibility of mPlg and the feasibility of automating the process of uploading the results for better tracking and analysis by institutes,” said Hari Prakash Shanbhog, Founder and Managing Director, Ipomo Communications India Private Limited.

Over 500 students were covered in the pilot run. All students found the tool relevant and 90 per cent said usage was easy, while clarity was rated at 85 per cent.
