Come up with great ideas and win Rs. 50 lakh

In keeping with its commitment to contribute to world development through research and innovation, IIT Bombay (IIT) announced a mega initiative, ‘10 Great Ideas to Change the World in the next 50 years’ a few months ago. Initially, the competition was open to only IIT Bombay alumni, staff and students.

However, now it is open to the entire world. Any individual from any country over the age of 18 can send in an idea. Moreover, the competition now attracts a prize money of Rs.50 lakh for the 10 best ideas, to be distributed as per the merit of the idea.

Godrej is the presenting sponsor of the project. Additionally, Godrej will help make some of the potential ideas into reality.

Deadline for entries is May 30 and registrations can be done on the IIT Bombay web site.

A special award will be given for the best idea to make the world a safer place to live in. Awards will be announced in August this year and the those presenting the best ideas will be invited to present a white paper at an international Round Table summit.
