Loyola College to host meet on ICT for the differently-abled

The Loyola College will be hosting a national-level conference on the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for the differently-abled and the underprivileged community in education, employment and entrepreneurship. The conference to be held from December 1 to 3 will be attended by individuals from all walks of life, including representatives of the differently-abled and underprivileged community, government officials, educationalists, researchers, programme managers, representatives of international business missions, NGOs and students.
The aim of the conference is to devise a successful formula through which the lesser-privileged people can be provided the opportunity to use Information and Communication Technology to grow on a par with the modernised world. The focus would be on the various problems faced by the differently-abled and the underprivileged people, especially with respect to education and the use of ICT for their development and tools for language learning, especially English, Tamil and Hindi. The papers accepted and presented at the conference will be published in the proceedings of the recognised publishers of India.
Submitted papers (page limit is six pages) should be original, containing contributions of theoretical, experimental or application nature, or unique experience reports. Send your hard copy along with a demand draft of for Rs. 200 in favour of ‘The Principal, Loyola College’ payable at Chennai before August 30.
