Microsoft holds ‘Boot Camp’
Boot Camp of the first LeadCap Young Leaders Programme was conducted at the Microsoft campus at Bangalore on July 31 and August 1. Twenty Microsoft Student Partners were chosen from all over the country to participate in the camp where sessions were conducted by the likes of Rajeev Gowda, Sangeeth Varghese, Suhas Gopinath and Pratima Amonkar, a pres note from the Microsoft Student Partners informed.
The participants were chosen from entries to the Young Leaders Program announced by Microsoft in association with LeadCap last month.
Selections were based on essays by students on personal leadership experience, resumes and telephonic interviews.
The programme includes technology-based leadership programmes with the goal of developing more leaders for the society, the press note informed.
Some of the planned initiatives include ‘LeadLabs in Colleges’ whereby student groups from colleges are nurtured for leadership, ‘Leadership Villages’ which aims to develop leadership qualities among slum children and students from government colleges, and ‘Leadership Letters’ which aims to influence people through notice board writings, articles or web logs. Students may write to roopak.bhartee@student-partners.com for details.
