Aberrations in climate patterns in the recent years have ensured that in addition to the government, even common people and companies have felt the need for environment-friendly practices. In the wake of the same, a ‘Green Jobs India Fair’ is being organised by The Climate Project India and Sierra Club’s Green Livelihoods Centre, at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi from September 24 to 26.
The fair will feature jobs that focus on sustainability and contribute to preserving or restoring environmental quality. Opportunities in diverse fields like finance, architecture, consultancy, management and engineering are on offer at the event that is expected to witness participation from nearly 20 companies and 10 corporate houses. Employers like UNDP, WWF, SELCO, Godrej properties and SEWA are looking for green-consciousness, in addition to relevant qualifications in the perspective employees.
The fair will also feature theatre performances and talks by successful green entrepreneurs. No prior registration is required for the fair that is open to general public. Job seekers are expected to carry a copy of their resume.
