‘Motivate distance learners'
Sri Padmavathi Women's University (SPMVV) conducted a three-day workshop last week to update the distance learning material and incorporate the self-learning principles and to review the performance of the courses in the light of feedback received from learners, counsellors and experts.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) Vice-Chancellor Hare Krishna Satapathy took part in the inaugural function and advised the distance learners to visualise teachers through the study material.
SPMVV Vice-Chancellor G. Sarojamma, presided. Workshop coordinator B.Maheswari explained the objectives, while Dr.Kusuma welcomed the gathering.
Journalism Association
SPMVV Journalism Association was inaugurated at the campus by K.L.Prasad, economic advisor to Ministry of Finance, Government of India, last week. Speaking on the occasion, he advised the students to equip themselves with the specialised skills required for economic reporting. P.Vijayalakshmi, head, Department of Communication and Journalism, felt that the union budget should be made understandable to the common man.
