FTII entrance
The Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, has invited applications for admission test to its various courses in film and television. These include three-year postgraduate diploma courses in direction, cinematography, sound recording and sound design, editing, art direction and production design, animation and computer graphics and feature film script writing.
The course in acting has 28 seats and all others have 14 seats each. Eligibility for admission to direction, cinematography, editing, acting, feature film script writing is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Those who have studied physics as one of the subjects at the Plus Two / higher secondary level and have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for postgraduate diploma course in sound recording and sound design. Entry qualification for art direction and production design course is a degree in architecture/ painting/ applied arts/ sculpture/ interior design or equivalent.
Eligibility for animation and computer graphics course is a pass in Plus Two. Fine Arts diploma holders will be preferred. Duration of these courses ranges from one-and-a-half to three years. The television certificate courses will include direction, electronic cinematography, video editing, sound recording and TV engineering. Entry qualification is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. For sound recording and TV engineering course the applicant should have studied physics as one of the subjects at the Plus Two/ senior secondary level.
