GITAM offers MBA in distance mode
GITAM University here is offering MBA course through distance mode for engineering graduates with the aim of producing professional managers for the global corporate world and prepare entrepreneurs to start their ventures.
The MBA programme has been prepared to meet this requirement, focusing on technical management aspects, particularly subjects like project management, logistics and supply chain management, materials management and maintenance management. B.Tech. graduates will benefit from the MBA course even after their campus selections. GITAM Centre for Distance Learning, approved by the Distance Education Council, UGC and AICTE, which will run the programme, is introducing an online learning facility for the convenience of working engineers. The admission process will commence very soon.
GITAM has taken into consideration that about 25 per cent of MBA students are engineers and more engineering graduates are expected to go for this additional qualification since it is important for an engineer to attain and widen the management skills to go up the ladder . An MBA would help them understand aspects like finance, marketing, human resource management, organisational behaviour, and management strategy. An engineering MBA graduate is therefore well versed in management knowledgeas well as his or her technical engineering abilities.
