HR practices
The Accounting and Finance, and Bank Management departments of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College (autonomous), through their association, ‘Confluence', conducted a week-long workshop on ‘Human Resource Practices' for the final-year students recently.
Sri Ganesh, proprietor of The Dream Chasers, a career training institute, inaugurated the event.
Mrs. Gayatri Mahesh, Mr. Badrinath and Ms. Ann Rebello of MMC Infotech spoke on facing group discussions. Mr. Jaba Singh from the Elitists group conducted mock interview sessions for a select few.
The sessions were aimed at improving the soft skills of the students.
MSSW rural camp
The first-year students of Master's in Social Work, Madras School of social Work,went on a six-day rural camp to Yercaud from September 13 to 18. Fortyfour students who participated in the camp got a glimpse of the lifestyle of people living in a remote village near Yercaud. The students were also able to identify the social problems in tribal villages.
Students' Union
The Students' Union of Bharathi Womens's College (autonomous), Chennai, was inaugurated on September 16. Chief guest V. Shobana, district collector, Chennai, administered the oath of office for the elected members. Earlier, college principal N. Kalaichelvi welcomed the gathering.
