Math made easy: SKD Technological CEO P.V.S.Rajam Naidu explains the products.

India is a country, which produced many mathematics exponents but still mathematics is probably the most dreaded subject among students.

Experts inform that most students have fear of mathematics because of poor fundamentals. Students can get over this fear of mathematics with better learning methodologies and as a fun process.

It all starts at fourth or fifth standards. Students develop the fear of mathematics as they are expected to solve different problems accurately and at considerable speed.

Failure results in punishment or extra home works and all these factors develop mathematical anxiety, explains P.V.S Rajam Naidu Chief Executive Officer of SDK Technologies.

To help students over come this fear and make mathematics learning a fun process, the company has developed two new products “Speed Math Tutor” and “Mastering 99 Tables in four Hours” with interactive Vedic mathematics methodologies.

The software (available in CDs) comes with booklets with prescribed course modules.

The curriculum is developed using Vedic methods of calculating problems, including additions, subtraction, tables, multiplication, squares and cubes of numbers without using calculators or other gadgets, he informs.

Unlike conventional methods of adding two numbers, students pursuing Vedic mathematics are taught to add the numbers from left to right. Vedic mathematics helps students to calculate faster and accurately and more importantly it's very easy and fun. All these techniques are taught in these two products, points out Mr. Naidu, who graduated from REC, Warangal in 1984. The software with its interactive facility trains the students in calculating faster with effective shortcut methods. There are practice sessions, tests and even quiz formats to make learning easy and interesting.

Priced at Rs. 495 (Speed Math Tutor) and Rs.195 (Mastering 99 Tables), the software would be made available at different stores in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. For details log onto
