Narsee Monjee PGDM begins
The two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programme of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Hyderabad commenced recently. NMIMS Vice-Chancellor, Rajan Saxena explained the journey of NMIMS since its inception and urgent students to rise for the cause of social development, equity and sustainability.
He emphasised the need for research and quality driven education, and asked students to focus on entrepreneurship. He pointed out that students should develop social sensitiveness and inquisitive minds to fit into the corporate world.
Saumen Chakraborty, President- QC, HR & IT, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and Sumeet Rajpal, Senior Vice-President – HR, Bank of America spoke on the occasion. Mr. Chakraborthy advised students to acquire the quality of ‘trustworthiness' and was of the opinion that NMIMS Hyderabad, with its world class infrastructure and quality, can be a base for Dr. Reddy's Lab for its future training programmes. Mr. Rajpal emphasised on the need for people management skills and soft skills. He urged the students to become business leaders rather than business managers.
