West meets East

ALLIANCE FRANCAISE of Madras, with support from The Embassy of France in India, and in collaboration with Prakriti Foundation, is organising a tour of Pascal Heni in Mumbai, Kolkata Chennai and Pondicherry after it takes off from New Delhi.

Pascal Heni will represent France at the Indo-European Summit where he is scheduled to give a concert.

He is the first Western singer to re-interpret the songs from mainstream Indian cinema, in Hindi and Tamil.

The songs have been re-recorded, with a full orchestra, at the Empire Studio in Mumbai, in association with the Indian music director Pyarelal, and to add a French touch, with a French sound director who led the final mix in France.

The musical choice of Pascal Heni includes 20 songs dating back to the 1950s till date.

The Indian film songs will be rendered by him on December 14 at 7 p.m.

The venue will be Amethyst Sundar Mahal, 14 Padmavathi Road, Jeypore Colony.
