ISKCON has announced this year's Bhakta Prahlad School programme for children between 5 and 10 years in 14 centres in the city from June 19. Students will be taught slokas from the Bhagavad Gita along with their meaning and their application, and japa yagna. Children are trained to develop the right attitude and good behaviour. Teachers qualified in Vedic philosophy will teach children theough drama, art, craft, discussions and games. Classes for the one-year programme will be held once a week for about one-and-a-half hours. Certificates will be awarded to the students at the end of the course.
