`Dreams' in the making
Diya and Dhanush in "Dreams" ...
SOON AFTER "Thulluvadho Ilamai," was declared a hit, Dhanush's "Dreams" began. But with the runaway success of "Kadhal Kondain," Dhanush signing on the dotted line once too often and the problems following it, "Dreams" got stalled. It was revived, but the snag lay in the fact that Dhanush's appearance had changed considerably. So the makers have just thrown out the footage hitherto shot and begun filming again. Originally "Dreams" had just one heroine Diya, the model who made her debut in "Kurumbu." But now in the new version Farool, from Mumbai, makes her entry into Tamil films as the other heroine. Another attraction of "Dreams," being directed by Kasturi Raja, is the music composed by Vidyasagar.
Completing "Girivalam"
Variety Frames believes in remakes. So after "Kadhal Kirukkan" the banner is busy with its next production "Girivalam," a borrowed version of the Bobby Deol starrer, "Humraaz." Shaam, Richard and Tanu Rai are the lead players.
The film ought to work wonders for Shaam a dancer in the film with negative shades to his character.
"A very powerful role," describes a unit hand. Shaam who was hurt during the shooting of a fight sequence for the film, has been advised bed rest. Once he is up and about the film should be completed, because only a couple of songs and a fight have to be canned.
"Girivalam" should help Richard too. The actor who has had no release after the disastrous debut in "Kadhal Virus" could be back in circulation after "Girivalam." Director Shivraj made quite an impression with "Adidhadi" that had Satyaraj as the hero. He is now directing "Girivalam."
