In memory of Sivan

TO COMMEMORATE the 114th birthday celebrations of Papanasam Sivan, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore and Papanasam Sivan Rasikar Sangam, W. Mambalam (Ph: 2472 2928) are organising a function on September 26 at the Bhavan premises. The title "Sivan Isai Selvar" will be conferred by AVM Saravanan on Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan followed by a Harikatha on Papanasam Sivan by T. N. Seshagopalan, V. V. Ravi and T. K. Murthy. R. Vedavalli will pay tribute. The function will be preceded by the rendition of Kapaleeswarar Pancharatnam (composed by Ruknimi Ramani) by vidwans and vidhushis at 4 p.m.
