On AIDS awareness

"Magalir Panchayat" on DD Podhigai, Saturday, 21.30.

REALISING THE imminent need to increase AIDS awareness among women, Doordarshan is presenting a two-part programme on Podhigai, the first of which was aired on November 27.

The second part will be telecast on December 4, at 9.30 p.m. As the theme of this year's World AIDS Day is `Women and AIDS,' DD has rightly scheduled it in its `Magalir Panchayat' show, titled "Penn Sadhikku Eedillai." Actor and social activist Rohini is the hostess.
