In need of funds
THE KAMAKSHI Ambal temple on T. V. Samy Road, West R. S. Puram, Coimbatore, under the management of the Kanchi Mutt in Kanchipuram, needs to be renovated. A Rajagopuram also is being built. Contributions in the form of cheque or DD can be sent to Sri Kamakshi Revival Committee, No. 2, Ist Cross Road, SRP Nagar, Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore - 641 011. Situated in Velur village, Vellore district, on the southern banks of the Palar is the temple of Sri Adikesava Perumal. The temple is stated to be more than ix centuries old. But the vimanam of the Moolavar Sannidhi is in a dilapidated state as also the antharalam and the front mandapam. With the efforts of the chief archaka, renovation is on. But the work is delayed due to financial constraints. Devotees are requested to send in their contributions to the Chief Archaka, Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple Renovation Committee, Velur - 632 506, Arcot taluk.
