Bala utsavam
SRI SUMUKHI Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation, Chennai, celebrated the third Margazhi bala utsavam, from January 6 to 9 at Sri Dakshinamurthy Auditorium, Mylapore.
Music (vocal and instrumental), chanting of Thiruppavai, Thiruvembavai, slokas, bhajans, dance and dance dramas were organised during the four-day fest.
V. P. Dhananjayan and Shanta Dhananjayan, Directors, Bharata Kalanjali, inaugurated the function. Potrait of (late) R. Nagammal, Patron of the Memorial foundation, was unveiled during the occasion.
The evening programme concluded with dance drama presented by Premalaya Natya Niketan and Gokula Kalalaya. Participants up to the age group of 21 years participated in various competitions.
The highlight of the programme is conferring of titles, citations and mementos.
