Title for vocalist

PRAJAHITHA SEVA Samstha, Chittoor, has organised a three-day music and dance festival at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The title, `Sangeetha Siromani' will be conferred on vocalist Jeya Krishna from Chennai on January 30.

Jeya Krishna will present a concert, accompanied by Prabhavathi on the violin and K. Bhaskar on the mridangam. V. S. Sivakumar will preside. M. Krishnaswami, chairman, Sri Thiyagaraja Trust, Tirupati, will be the chief guest.

Jeya Krishna has had her tutelage under vocalists T. K. Rangachari and Vairamangalam Lakshminarayana.
