BANGALORE IS going to be star struck again. The six-decade old Sree Rama Seva Mandali is bringing to Bangalore K.J. Yesudas, Hariharan and Chitra. These singing sensations will sing for a benefit programme to raise funds for the Sangeeta Grama, a music school on the lines of gurukula, which will offer training in both Carnatic and Hindustani.

Rangavatara will release Anandakrishna's (popularly known as D.K. Chowta) fifth literary work, Mittabail Yamunakke, a Tulu novel on February 4 at KCP, 6.30 p.m. Along with this, his latest play in Tulu, Dharmettimaye will be performed on February 5. Guests who will grace the occasion are Sanskrit scholar S.K. Ramachandra Rao, Revenue Minister M.P. Prakash, former Chief Minister Veerappa Moily, and former chairman of Tulu Sahitya Academy Dr. Vamana Nandavara will be present. Dharmetti Maaye, directed by Krishnamurthy Kavathar, will be at the same venue on February 5, 7 p.m. The tickets are priced at Rs. 49.
