Weaving a spell

SURABHI'S MYTHOLOGICAL dramas still draw large crowds wherever they are staged and the State Government is amply justified in giving the Surabhi troupe well deserved encouragement. Popular mythological themes presented with amazing stage tricks are

Surabhi's forte. Though the Sidhardha Kalapeetham arranged the Surabhi drama `Sri Krishna Leelalu' at short notice, the auditorium was filled to capacity.

The crowd thoroughly enjoyed the drama, which depicted the episodes from `Kaliya mardanam', `Kamsa Vadha' and several childish pranks of Lord Krishna with skillfully executed stage tricks. All the artistes did their roles well and the drama was efficiently directed by Surabhi Venugopala Rao. Kalapeetham's secretary, Nagella Guruprasada Rao, introduced the artistes while the president Mummaneni Subbarao honoured them.
