Dance for a cause

ARE YOU planning to party tonight? Be sure that you don't drink while you drive. You are not only risking your life but also that of others. Prince Singhal the man behind the campaign against drunken driving and the Mocktail Movement produced and conceptualised the thematic dance ballet "Akhir Kyon... Pages from the a Diary", performed by the renowned dancer, Shovana Narayan. The evening was presented in association with Alliance Francaise De Delhi and Transport Department, Government of Delhi.

The performance by Shovana was based on the life of a mother who lost her daughter in an accident due to drunken driving. Her daughter who was a young and radiant girl with lots of expectations from her life dies leaving behind her unfinished dreams. The performance by Shovana was touching as she portrayed the emotions of the mother very well.

The evening marked the completion of three years of the campaign in which more than 200 well-known people have been involved. The evening concluded with a live painting being made by Saranjit Singh `Sarna', that was donated to the NGO, Say Mocktails' Campaign against Drunken Driving to raise funds for its future projects.
