A group of about 45 students belonging to the 2003-04 and 2004-05 batches, who had completed their courses in the Government Music School run by the State Department of Art and Culture, presented their maiden performances during the annual day celebrations of the school held in Tiruchi (city) recently. The students belonged to the disciplines of Kuralisai, Nagaswaram, Tavil, Thevaram and Bharatanatyam.

The students who had completed the nagaswaram course performed four Tamil keertanas. The outgoing students of the tavil discipline accompanied the nagaswaram students.
