The vocal maestro, Nedunuri Krishnamurty is hailed as one of the very few Carnatic music exponents who sing discerningly with soul-stirring effect. Not only does he thoroughly enjoy his music and get himself transported to realms bordering on the ecstasy but he also carries the audience along with him in the process.

No wonder, there has been a genuine demand for his autobiography. Nedunuri readily obliged and the book was released by Sadguru Sivananda Murty of Bheemili Anandavanam at a grand function got up at the VUDA Children's Theatre by a committee of hosts who graciously shared the entire cost of the project.

The `sadguru' said that the book would go a long way in serving the cause of the renaissance of rich values.

The former Mayor of the port city, and chairman, Bar Council of India, D.V. Subba Rao was all praise for the `baani' (style) not only of music but also for the exemplary life of Nedunuri, which has made the entire State proud.

He was also happy that Nedunuri finally settled down in Visakhapatnam.

The Director, Centre for Policy Studies and former Rector of A.U., Prof. A. Prasanna Kumar who was the guest of honour also spoke on the occasion. Quoting and elaborating some of the finer statements from the book, he, in turn, provided food for thought. The noted vocalist, Malladi Suribabu of Vijayawada who was supposed to review the contents, however, went awry most of the time. Perala Balamuralikrishna compered the show.
