Clash of titans

A DATE WITH TIME: Amitabh Bachchan with Akshay Kumar in "Waqt".

The Capital is getting ready for a date with two kings of Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan makes his appearance this Friday in "Waqt" while Shah Rukh's fans get to see him next week in "Kaal".

"Waqt", releasing this Friday, is all about a special bond between a father (Amitabh Bachchan) and son (Akshay Kumar) who are more like friends. But trouble starts after the son falls in love with a girl (Priyanka Chopra) and marries her against the father's wishes. The Holi song in the film is topping the charts and the Bollywood trade feels that this family entertainer directed by Vipul Shah will hit the bull's eye.

King Khan as `item boy'

Shah Rukh Khan the `numero uno' star of Bollywood is doing an `item song' in "Kaal" directed by Sohan Shah and produced jointly by Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh is appearing with Malaika Arora again in this sexy item number after they had done "Chaiyya Chaiyya..." atop a running train in that Mani Ratnam film "Dil Se"! This song will appear in the beginning of the film as the title credits flash past. "Kaal" is a thriller which is set in the Jim Corbett National Park and has a huge star cast comprising Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham, Esha Deol, and Lara Dutta.

The music of techno-wizards Salim-Sulaiman, especially the "Tauba ..Tauba.." number is already a chartbuster.
