Picture perfect The annual day celebrations made for a vibrant show.
OTV, THE local Oriya TV channel, completed eight years of its existence. To mark the occasion, a vibrant cultural show was organised at Jayadev Bhawan. As things stand now, OTV covers five cities of the State.
The channel, however, is on an expansion drive to cover more cities soon. Known for its news bulletins and news analyses, the channel has carved out a niche for itself over the last eight years for prompt and comprehensive reporting. Another offshoot launched a year back, OTV Chamatkar, promotes entertainment programmes besides telecasting important events live.
A 10-minute film on OTV's objectives, achievements and future plans opened the show on the evening, followed by a bhajan rendered by Rudra. Soon, the floor was open for music and dance.
A number of young dancers impressed with their performances on the occasion, which also proved to be the perfect setting for OTV employees - anchors, presenters and reporters - to showcase their talents in music and dance.
