NEW SERIES: "Getti Melam" on Jaya TV, weekdays, 21.00.

Beginning on May 2, this serial portrays the trials and tribulations of three sisters who strive hard to run the family. Azhagappan, their father, simply refuses to take up responsibilities.

Lakshmi, the eldest daughter, takes care of the household chores, Easwari, the second, works for a meagre amount to help her sister run the family, and Saraswathi, the third daughter, is eager to share her siblings' burden. Son, Mathi, the youngest, and mother Seetha do their best to keep the girls in good cheer. The family carries on with stoic determination little realising that things are going to change with the arrival of Kalaiselvi. Directed by E. Vikramadityan, the cast includes Tharika, Kuyili, Aswini, Ragasudha, Deepak, Giri Dwaresh, Kannan and Bombay Babu.
