Rajeev Anchal speaks about his latest film.

Westbound: Rajeev Anchal

Rajeev Anchal, the director of `Made in USA,' says, "It is a film on the psychology of an orphan who grows up in the United States. I do not want to spoil the suspense by narrating the story." The film will also have an English version titled `Nothing But Life.'

Rajeev, who is an ardent disciple of Karunakaraguru of Pothencode, Thiruvananthapuram, has a message in each of his films. A graduate of the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram, Rajeev, did the art direction of about 200 films before turning to direction. His first two films - `Butterflies' and `Kashmeerom,' had social themes with a difference. But it was `Guru,' which got an Oscar entry, that made him turn to Hollywood for inspiration.

His `Beyond the Soul,' which deals with reincarnation and Ayurveda, was released only in the United States. He plans to shoot his next film, also in Hollywood. "It relates to the worth of a woman, which she herself is unaware of, and it will have a universal message," says Rajeev.
