Tyagaraja Day
Sri Thiagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam, Mylapore (Ph: 2498 2270) will celebrate Tyagaraja Day for five days from May 14. The inaugural function will feature the rendering of Pancharatna kritis by Ramjhi's Isai Mazhalai group. Titles will be conferred on artistes on May 18. Ekadina Laksharchana for Sri Rama will be conducted on May 15.
Entries invited
The Mylapore Academy (Ph: 2493 9352/2494 2263) has invited entries for the Best Drama/TV Serial Award for the year 2004. Producers of Tamil stage plays (drama) and television serials which went on air during the calendar year 2004 are requested to contact the Academy at No. 21 (Old no. 9), Sringeri Mutt Road, R. A. Puram in writing for application forms.
Brahmotsavam
The Brahmotsavam of Lord Varadarajar at Kanchipuram falls on May 20. Garuda Sevai will be on May 22 and Car festival on May 26. Annadanam by Karichangal Thathiyaradhana Committee will take place for six days at Devi Chinnammal Choultry No. 31, Chetty Street, Little Kanchipuram.

Ramana Aradhana
Sri Ramana Sath Sangam (Ph: 2233 2167) will conduct the 55th aradhana of Bhagawan Sri Ramana Maharishi on May 15, from 8.30 a.m., at Sri Varasiddhi Vinayakar Pravachana Mandapam, Hindu Colony, Nanganallur.
Temple festival
Brahmotsavam at Sri Padaladhri Narasimha temple, Singaperumalkoil, Kanchipuram will be celebrated from May 14-26. Garuda sevai and Hanumantha vahanam will be on May 16, Choornabishekam and Yanai vahanam on May 19, Car festival on May 20. Pushpa Pallakku and Narasimha Jayanthi will take place on May 22.
Crash course in dance
Raack Academy of Dance, Kilpauk (Ph: 2647 3470/2647 3466) is conducting a summer camp for children aged 4-10 and teens aged 11-19. The 18-day course begins on May 15.
Vasanthotsavam
Sri Oppiliappan Pattabhisheka Rama Temple, Ram Nagar (North), Puzhudhivakkam, will celebrate Sri Oppiliappan Vasanthotsavam on May 15, at Community Hall Mandapam, Nanganallur. Thirumanjanam at 12 will be followed by Thiru Kalyana Utsavam at 3 p.m.
