Filca film fete

`Phir Milenge' directed by Revathi will be the inaugural film at Filca's Fifth International Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram, which begins on May 13.

The festival includes a Marta Meszaros Retrospective, Malayalam Cinema Now, Contemporary Indian Cinema, World Cinema Today, World Cinema Yesterday, and Shorts and Documentaries.

World Cinema Now features `Khmosh Pani' (Sabiha Sumar), `Pretty Big Feet' (Yang Yazhou) `So Close,' (Corey Yuen) `Ten' (Abbas Kiarostomi), `The Village' (Manoj Night Shymalan), `Swimming Pool' (Francois Ozon) `Talk to Her' (Pedro Almadovar), `Together' (Chen Kaige), `Judge Mama' (Mue Deyan).

`World Cinema Yesterday' features `Last Tango in Paris' (Bertolucci), `Another Way of Life' (Vera Chytilova), The Battle of Algiers (Grillo Pontecarvo), `One Potato Two Potato' (Larry Peerce), Il Grido (Michelangelo Antonioni).

`Akale,' `Perumazhakkalam,' `Oridam,' `Makalkku,' `Kannae Madanguka' and `Kadhavaseshan' are included in Malayalam Cinema Now.

Contemporary Indian Cinema includes `Dance Like A M' (Pamela Rooks) `Amu' (Shonali Ghosh) `Oruththi' (Amshan Kumar-Tamil,) and `Kaadhal' (Shankar).
