And now a telefilm

Gemini TV's telefilm `Madhumati,' is going on air shortly.

THRILL A MINUTE Dr. Yuvaraj and Sneha make plans.

Tele films are a rarity in Telugu. But it seems the trend is changing with a change in thinking of some channels that shunned them till now.

Gemini TV's first tele film Madhumati will go on air in the morning slot on May 29. Produced by Dr. Ch. Muralikrishna the serial is directed by Thota Nageswara Rao who had earlier made successful mega serials as Amma, Illalu, and Akka chellellu. Starring Dr. Yuvaraj, Veladi Raghukumar (who wrote the dialogue as well), T. Ramakrishna and Sneha Nambiar in major roles, the 57-minute crime thriller leaves a message that greed destroys.

"We shot the film at Sullurpet. In just six shooting days we have completed work on Madhumati and another tele film, a comedy, AnandamParamanandam that I consider a record. Yet, we have not compromised on quality and our work with songs give a feel of watching a regular movie. Vijaya Sekhar's background score and Nandi award winner Mohan K. Sundaram's camera enhanced the quality."

"It is difficult to market tele films in Telugu and we are aware of it before launching the venture. Confidence in our product made us to proceed with the shoot. We are elated when Sanguine Media, after watching our work, immediately came forward to market it. That speaks for the entertainment that is in store," says the director who has also acted as a savage villain in Madhumati.
